A couple weekends ago, Raeleen and I flew down to San Diego, cameras in tow, to shoot Alicia and Mark’s wedding. The wedding was absolutely beautiful, a much different flavor than the Seattle weddings we photograph. As soon as those pictures are ready, I’ll post up the favorites for you to see.
In the meantime, here are a ton of San Diego Zoo pictures for everyone to check out. Raeleen and I took the opportunity to see the world famous zoo and grab some snapshots of the animals. I think the flamingos were my personal favorite. Enjoy!

Okay, so above are the Macaws. Rae and I were walking and overheard a zookeeper announcing the release of the birds. We came late and had no idea what was in the aluminum cage. We just heard a bunch of rustling and then a flood of colorful birds. This was my attempt at catching them all flying out at super high speeds.

Ok, definitely my favorite of the zoo. These guys were colorful and had a ton of character.

These two ducks were in the same water as the flamingos. They were also holding up one leg, very cute![]()

Great story, this Camel was spitting at all the kids that came up to the wall and started pestering it! Very funny to watch. A couple moms got hit too![]()

I have no idea what was going on with this Camel. It was huge and it was foaming something from its mouth. Pretty gross.

Another favorite. I love meerkats!

Apparently Koalas sleep most of the day. Their diet doesn’t give them enough energy but to be active mostly during feeding times.

Snake-necked turtles. Crazy stuff.

This guy is from the Galapagos. I think he was around 2 feet tall and maybe 4 feet or so long. Very big, very slow.

And those are just a couple shots from our trip to the San Diego Zoo…
