This is what Raeleen and I did for Christmas. We flew to La Paz, Mexico in Baja California Sur to see Raeleen’s Dad, who is beginning a long sail on around the world on his sailboat.
La Paz was beautiful, not very touristy and was definitely a warm alternative to the snow in Seattle!

Rae has a great fascination with fish and shrimp that swim up to the dock. Here’s a close-up of a local pufferfish![]()






Ok, so all the crazy little specks in this shot below? They’re the beginning of a swarm of bees coming up the hillside. This shot was taken before we saw them, and before we ran. There were thousands upon thousands of these little guys and they created a huge dark cloud as they came toward us. Those bees were the most I’ve ever seen at once…
